Late Registration is the second studio album by American hip-hop recording artist, Kanye West. The album was released on August 30, 2005 by Roc-A-Fella Records and Def Jam Recordings. The album received rave reviews from critics, debuted at #1 as it garnered 860,000 copies in it's first week and has since been certified triple platinum by the RIAA, and earned West the Grammy Award for "Best Rap Album" and also a nomination for "Album of the Year". The album released five singles including the #1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100, "Gold Digger" (featuring Jamie Foxx).
